ABOUT LORNA LEE

I was born in Malaysia and built my life in Australia. Along the way I raised three boys, spent more than two decades in professional kitchens, led teams, ran high-volume events and found myself on camera with TAFE, helping rethink how culinary education could be taught.

Somewhere in between the chaos of survival, kitchens, motherhood and life, I started rewriting a few rules of my own. I grew up around women who cooked without measuring. No perfect instructions. Just taste and agak-agak. Turns out, it followed me across continent all the way Down Under, a place now I called home.

Today, I’m the author of The Bullshit of Cooking, founder of Kitchen by Lorna Lee and an inclusive programm designer working through food. My work sits somewhere between food, culture, motherhood, migration and real-world learning.

I write the way I speak and I’m not pretending life is neat.
